The clock on the left is my make-over project. I forgot to get a "before" pic, so this one will have to do. I've always loved this clock (unlike the one on the right, which ticks so loudly it drives my husband crazy and therefore is not allowed it's battery...) but you know me and my love affair with color and all things cheerful. Not that everything has to be painted... but this clock's turned wood post was such a great candidate I couldn't pass it up.
Here is the finished clock - LOVE IT! :)
Stay tuned for more clock adventures. There is a BIG ONE coming up in the near future that you won't want to miss! It's part of my Fireplace Mantle Makeover! Look below for the sneak peek! Mua-ha-haaaaa!
Have a great day eveyone!
P.S. I do not like Roman numerals. I have no idea why.
Love the clock -- you amazing, talented woman!! Little known fact about me -- I have a thing for clocks. Geppetto's workshop at Disneyland is one of my favorite places (lol). xx's have a great non-blustery day!
ReplyDeleteWe are 2 peas in a pod Sabina! I have 20-something clocks in my house (much to my husband's chagrin) - AND - we just watched Pinocchio and all the clocks in Geppetto's workshop is one of my favorite scenes!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLOVE the new colors on your clock! Perks it right up! Very similar to the colors I'm going with for my redecorating around here, and like you, I will be repainting some of my old stuff to convert to the new look. I hate roman numerals on a clock too! Grew up with the main clock in the house having roman numerals and it always confused me as a young kid. Then my first watch that I got for my birthday had them on it too, and I threw it in the drawer and never used it, LOL!
ReplyDeleteAt first I didn't want you to paint that cute clock, but I LOVE the way it turned out.
ReplyDeleteJoanne, that's so funny we both hate Roman numerals! I don't even know why I do... I think it's because I love the curviness of numerals (that sounds like the title to a short story - lol)
ReplyDeleteHeather - I was really pondering it too! That's what took me so long to get it painted... I just wasn't sure. But I'm a risk taker so it drives me crazy not to try! :) I'm happy with how it turned out - now I can't decide if I need to spray it with a glossy finish or not :/
