I was obviously in the wrong state of mind when I was thinking that this week would be less busy/stressful/crazy than last week... and that I would be able to catch up on those blog posts I had to toss. Silly me. This week's craziness has blown me out of the water. That's less dramatic then saying shot to hell - HAHAHAHAHA :D But seriously, I've hardly had a second that I haven't been running errands & doing chores, working on projects with deadlines, or being a taxi cab. It's taken it's toll too, cuz I finally came down with the cold I've been trying really hard to fight. Nothing serious, I'm just sooooo tired. But because I've pushed back yet another pile of intended blog posts, I'm doing a hodge podge of pics from here and there. TODAY IS YOUR LUCKY DAY! LOL! I have a virtual panoply - a plethora, if you will - of random pics that I never got around to posting. I'm building my boards over at *Pinterest* (follow MY boards by clicking here -----> Meg Walker!!!) and you'll probably see some of these pics over there too. And if you haven't heard of *Pinterest*, oh my gosh... heaven help you! It's more fun and addicting - and INSPIRING! - than Facebook!!! It's not just eye candy - it's inspiration for the heart and soul! I will be doing a blog post highlighting *Pinterest* in the near future, so stay tuned. In the meantime, just look at all the fun stuff I have for you today!

First things first! My love and congratulations goes out to my fabulous nephew Sam, who graduated high school this week, dripping with honors and all kind of accomplishments. I am proud of him and happy for him, and know that he will make the world a better place! I also want to mention my 7 precious senior girls from church that graduated as well! I don't like to post their pics here cuz of internet creepers :/ but I want them to know how amazing I think they are, and how dearly I love them, and how excited I am for them! xoxo

My tiniest - and oldest - quilt, is really not quilt size, or even baby blanket size!

It's more like a little sampler... a primitive Scotty dog, crudely quilted... so precious :)

I collect small stitcheries too, and this one is my all time favorite. I want to live there :)

And speaking of textiles, this is my textile armoire. It's changed a lot since this pic!

For my readers that aren't my friends on Facebook (that doesn't sound right - why aren't you my friends on FB?!)... you didn't see what I discovered a few days ago. The Mouse had used the stove as a whiteboard!!! :-0 One of those instances when you're not quite sure how to react - if you're more concerned that this will be a permanent addition to the stove decor, or all melty inside about the message itself... (I chose the latter)

 Then yesterday the Mouse struck again! 

I woke up to my gnomedge looking like Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top! :/

I KNOW RIGHT?!?!

Last but not least, I found these sweet photos of Angel - I can't believe I never posted them before! Looking so tiny, all rolled into a ball, and so sound asleep :) I love it when they're so curled up they cover their little noses with their paw :)

~ The Mouse. Dang. Is this boy cute or what! ~

 Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. This is mainly a Mouse post. He went to a bluegrass festival last week. Saw his banjo teacher there, had a great time trying out different instruments, and had money burning a hole in his pocket.

 He did a pretty fine job picking out some sweet jewelry though... Look at this awesome banjo necklace! I mean seriously, how cool is that! It looks really good on him too. Just sayin.  

 His friend Caitlin took this pic w/ her cell so it's not the best quality, but I'm so glad she took it! Look at that Mouse, SLAPPIN DE BASS MAN!!! He looks amazing rockin that stand up bass - and he said it was really fun to play. But on to a bit more jewelry...

Remember how I piqued your interest asking what these could be? Yes, they're made of semi-precious gems... yes, carved into heart shapes... with neat etchings on them... yes, yes, yes. But what ARE they?

They are actually TWO things!

First, they are interchangeable parts of a beautiful necklace 

the Mouse bought me at the bluegrass festival (awww, so sweet!)... 

and they are also... guitar picks! Guitar picks! Isn't that GENIUS?!

 Aren't they so pretty? They feel good when you hold them in your fingers too! 

Guitar picks - who would have thought? 

 There's a pretty little door on the back that you unlatch and swing open 

in order to change picks. Hmmm... which pick will I choose today?

 I think I'll choose the white one with the dove etched on it. 

Time to close the little door now!

 Oh wow, the white looks really pretty! What a clever, creative idea - I love it!

 OY! So given the nature of this nutsy week (see previous posts), certain subjects I had planned to blog about did not make it onto the blog. Mostly because of some major attitude from a black Sharpie which I do not care to elaborate on. But those subjects will make it in. Oh... they will. Just a little shifting around is in order. Meanwhile, other subjects showed up (Zaaaaah!!!) that were definitely blog-worthy instead. You know - ebb and flow... yin and yang... positive and negative... glass half full and stoopid. It's all good. Except stoopid. So here are a few fun things to see, and questions to tickle your brain until next week! Hah!

 That's right peeps! MY. GORGEOUS. NEW. LAPTOP.

 That's right... one of THESE! I'll be able to see my actual photos BIG and up CLOSE! AND! I won't have to hold my power cord in by force to make sure it's actually charging instead of *losing* power. Among other fun things. Like fuzzy iTunes from fuzzy speakers. Like applications quitting unexpectedly. Over and over and over. Like it getting so hot it burns my legs (my laptop before this one actually started smoking before I would let it go!).  

Drum roll please.......
ZAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!

(moment of silence as we bow to the mac)

Transferring all my stuff from tiny, unpredictable, scary-at-times, been thru 4 freaking batteries and countless power cords OLD laptop... to shiny, new, neato-bandito, dependable, really cool stuff, amazing 17 inches I don't deserve NEW laptop!!! Wheeeeeee!!!

 It's ready! IT'S READY! Trying... not... to... hyperventilate...

(hmmm... out of excitement... or cuz it will take me a year to pay for it?)

And thus begins a new era in my creative life!

This time I'm actually determined to learn photoshop! YES I AM!
