How was I so lucky to acquire these little gems? Because Davy has been blessed with best friends that are mighty good eggs themselves. His friend Erika is the owner of the chicks that, uh, manufactured these eggs. She brought us a bowl of them recently, and I thought it was just such a thoughtful gesture. Not to mention I fell in love with how darling they are. So of course they were immediately slated for their own 15 minutes of fame! Just another lesson in how the little things really are the BIG things. Which I love! So Erika, thank you for your generosity - and for being such a good egg yourself :)

good eggs
Hi all! So... have you ever in your life seen such *cute* little eggs? And when I say little, I mean *teeny*... as in half the size of a "normal" egg from the grocery store. And the loveliest shade of tan too. Now, generally speaking, eggs wouldn't qualify for their own photo shoot around here. Especially against a backdrop of my all time favorite organic cotton fabric by the talented Jan DiCinto. But after all, these are organic eggs - from free range chickens that are actual pets. In a word, happy chickens laying adorable eggs :)

Did you eat them? Wondering how small the yolks were.
ReplyDeleteSo cute.
Hehe, thanks you guys! Bev, you're gonna think I'm NUTS... but I can't force myself to crack them! They're still in the fridge! Erika assures me they're still fresh so I just need to DO IT! LOL! And in estimation, the yolk is probably about the size of the tip of your thumb(?)
