Ah, summer, summer, summer! No homework, sleeping in, hanging out with friends, going to the pool, watching movies and staying up late... YES! But around here the temperatures will soon reach the upper 90's and into the 100's and it's just not possible to stay outside all the time. That's where PUZZLES come in! I don't mind the kids watching TV or playing video games, but I like them to do a variety of things. Once you get started, puzzles are so much fun! I forget how much I love them. I ordered several new puzzles recently, and they will definitely keep us busy!
This one is my personal favorite! I know it will give me the fits, but I am totally up to the challenge - I can't wait to do it!
This one will definitely be a challenge also! But hey, this was the kids' number 2 choice (death by chocolate being their 1st!) so I say knock yourselves out :D
I started this one last night - it's vintage travel ads/signs - and so far it's been really fun to do. If you want to have some fun with puzzles too, there are all kinds of sites you can order from, but *THIS* is the site I went with and they were great! Happy puzzling!
my mom loved to make puzzles and they were really hard like yours. she made one of a native american and my brother has it framed. i don't know if i could sit still long enough these days to do one, but i think it would be nice.
ReplyDeleteYES Wendy - you need to be here! That's when I usually do my puzzle - late at night... actually, WAY too late at night! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI forget how much I *LOVE* doing puzzles! And Bev, I have to agree - if I'm not careful, 2 or 3 hours will fly by! Last night Matthew came and played the guitar and we sang together while I was doing my puzzle - now THAT was awesome :D
